The team has developed a certain niche and institutional expertise in the financial services investments over the last decade. We have been highly instrumental in establishing and advising a regional insurance company in 2008, on the corporate structuring and its eventual listing on the stock exchange.

In 2009, Rassmal also acquired Advance Emerging Capital Ltd., a UK based FCA regulated asset management firm with Emerging and Frontier Markets mandate. The firm almost doubled the AUM during the period 2010-2015 with full support and engagement from Rassmal. At the time of our exit in 2015, the firm managed over US$700m of listed funds and discretionary client funds. The business was acquired by the global investment firm Aberdeen Asset Management.
